Instructions: A Guide to Using the Classrooms
Logging In
You can log in to your classroom on the top right hand side of the socalrw.com website under “Login”.
If you have forgotten your login or password, follow the instructions to retrieve them or create a new one.
After you login, on the top right hand side of the website you will see options for Your Account, Class Forums, and to Logout. To access the classroom, go to Class Forums.
If you are enrolled in more than one of our classes, you will see pages and forums all of the classes you are enrolled in. Choose the forum for the one that you'd like to look at.
Using the Class Forums
The Class Forum is where you will find new lessons, a place to ask questions, and posts with the class rules and other administrative information. The forums are also where you will post your homework, if any.
You can login whenever you want to read the posts and replies. You can also click on “Subscribe” in the top right hand area of the page to have notifications of new posts sent to you via email. Many people find this convenient. You cannot reply via email and any attachments are not included in these emails.
To create a new post, such as to ask a question of the instructor, scroll down to the Create New Topic box, give your post a title in the Title box, enter your text, and click Submit. You can also add attachments such as a picture or file if you want by clicking “Choose File” at the bottom of the Create New Topic box. You can also click the box for “NOTIFY ME OF FOLLOW-UP REPLIES VIA EMAIL” and you will get notifications of replies to your post.
To post a reply to an existing post, such as posting homework for a lesson, just click on the title of the topic you want to reply to, scroll down the Reply box, enter your text, and click Submit. You can also add attachments such as a picture or file if you want by clicking “Choose File” at the bottom of the reply box.
Contacting a Moderator
