Getting Started with Audio Books

〰️

Getting Started with Audio Books 〰️

So you want to make an audiobook but you have no idea how to begin. Then this is the perfect meeting for you! Join Celeste Barclay and Cynthia Diamond for a crash course on getting started with audiobooks. We'll discuss both the traditional and indie paths on creating your audiobook, narrators, resources, and a Q&A about the process.

Celeste Barclay, a nom de plume, lives near the Southern California coast with her husband and sons. She loves a strong hot chai, a reality TV binge, curling up with a good book, and time with family. Celeste didn't plan to become an author, rather stumbling into it. She had an idea for a story, and then another and another. Before becoming a full-time author, Celeste was a Social Studies and English teacher. She holds degrees in International Affairs (BA), Secondary Social Science (MAT), and Political Management (MPS). She channels that knowledge into creating rich historical romances that bring the heat. As Sabine Barclay, she writes suspenseful Mafia stories that’ll make your toes curl and your granny blush.

Cynthia is an award-winning paranormal romance author that writes for sassy nerds with a sharp sense of humor. Starting her adult life in theater, she earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Costume Design, but her first love was telling stories. After some encouragement, she dove down the writing rabbit hole, creating magical worlds, snarky heroines, and sexy heroes with a dash of "cinnamon roll".

When not telling tales, Cynthia is a geek, a costumer, and an amateur artist. She resides in sunny San Diego, California with her husband Max, two cats of varying intelligence, and a ton of goldfish.
